In early ‘15, I had made it and I had it all. I was 44 years young and had just sold a large part of my business interests that gave me a 7-figure payday. With the millions I had made in the years before, I was now financially secure, a few times over actually, and lived in a luxurious home in an exclusive gated ocean-front community.

Robert have a beautiful wife, three gorgeous, healthy kids, fancy cars, exotic vacations, a full-time nanny, a rich lifestyle of comfort and luxury, and multiple ongoing sources of income. I was living the dream. Or at least that’s what it looked like from the outside.

On the inside I was dying, literally. I felt stuck, I felt empty, I felt like I was living a lie.

Robert marriage was a source of deep loneliness, for both of us. Over the years we had grown apart and we had lost the passion, we had lost the spark. We were roommates more than husband and wife. Yet, from the outside you would have never known. We meticulously kept up our appearances but we were living a lie.

After the sale of most of my business, I lacked the interest and energy to rebuild. I could no longer find the motivation to chase what I now considered ‘nothingness’. But again, my LinkedIn profile told another story.

From the outside, I looked like a player, I looked like a winner. But it was just another lie. Over the course of a 20-year high flying business career I had slowly but surely sold my soul. I had swum with the sharks and as a result, I had become one. I was selfish, ruthless, inconsiderate, heartless, and mercenary. I was a prisoner of my own ambition.

Deep down, at our core, every man has a deep desire to be noble, to be just, strong, wise, courageous, virtuous, loving and compassionate.

To be a man of true unwavering integrity that is in our sacred masculine which is our archetypical architecture.

It’s part of our nature, and when we are in conflict with this architecture, we leak energy & potency – our life force diminishes.

We wither and slowly die on the inside. We fade until there is no “man” left.

Just a shadow of what could have been,

if we had only followed our bliss.

As our life force depletes, we become self-destructive. We start numbing ourselves. We dull our senses with all manner of distractions. Alcohol, drugs, gambling, video games, sex, porn, cheap thrills, infidelities, just so we don’t have to feel our failure. For me, lust and greed forced me into compromising my integrity.  I had sullied my wedding vows by being a cheater.

What made me ‘intelligent’ and ‘strategic’ in business made me ‘ruthless’ and ‘heartless’  in my personal life. I was presenting an image of a man of integrity, but I knew the truth and I couldn’t live this lie anymore. I was dying on the inside and just could not tolerate the man I saw in the mirror anymore. That wasn’t me, not the true me, not my authentic self. My soul screamed in pain until it became so bad that I could no longer numb it away.

And, so sitting in that dark space in the months following the sale of my business, I finally came apart. My life crumbled around me, but, with hindsight, I now know this was the pivotal point for me, for my life. I had gone as far as I could, and could go no further. I had to find another way.

I know now this was my Power Crucible, the start sign of my initiation. I embarked on a deep and spiritual journey into the depths of my soul, to find my truth, to find my purpose, to find the peace, joy, and fulfillment I was craving. I was looking to find everything that I had been unable to find in all the money, power, validation, recognition, women, houses, cars, thrills and toys I had accumulated. Like so many other quintessential alphas I suffered from what is now the title of my book: Never Enoughitis. No matter how hard I had tried, I had failed to find anything from the outside to fill the void within me. On reaching my Power Crucible, I intuitively knew I had to go ‘within’ but I was clueless on how to do that, or where to start.

If you want to build habits that will make you great

to clarify your purpose, to ignite your passion,
and to multiply your success

I cannot motivate or heal you, only you can do that, but I can provide performance coaching that will inspire you.
I can share with you the ‘medicine’ that helped me. I can guide you down the path, because I have walked it.
My executive coaching services will help you to see that you are your own guru.
All of the answers you need are deep within you. My only job is to help you remember your own genius.
IF WE’re meant to work together, we undoubtedly will.
